China is a country just entering the car market. Tianjin Huali Motor Co. is a Chinese joint venture between Malaysian Lion Group and Tianjin Automotive Industries. This company was established in the early 1990s and manufactures light pick up trucks and mini vans in China. Huali advertises they are a company possessed with a strong capability of product manufacturing, development, and technical design with a dedicated, well-trained workforce. Their plant boasts nine production lines–1 for pressing, 3 for welding, 3 for final assembly, and 2 for painting. Their goal is to enter the 21st century with a strong product capability, a larger product scale, and a top quality product. Their vehicles are also exported to Uruguay, Argentina, Egypt, Columbia, and Italy.
