Renault Megane R-26-2007
Renaultsport was formed in the late 1940s to run Renault’s racing programs. Throughout the years, they have made many different limited-edition vehicles based off standard Renault models. The Renault Mégane started production in 1995, and is still in production today.
It is a midsize car by European standards, and is offered in two- and four-door versions. The standard Renault Mégane came with a 1.6 liter 100 hp motor. Renaultsport made this limited edition R26 to commemorate the company’s winning of the 2005 and 2006 F1 World Championship. The engine was enlarged and turboed to bring the horsepower up to 227. The suspension, brakes, and wheels were also modified to improve performance. Each car carries a numbered placque – this car is R26 number 1113.
